Grilled Chicken Marinara
A Contemporary Family Favorite
Tender antibiotic-free whole chicken breasts, grilled to perfection, paired with an authentic, chunky marinara sauce and topped with melty and stringy mozzarella cheese
Heating Instructions
Stovetop
Heat large sauté pan over medium heat. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon of your favorite cooking oil.
Cut open chicken pouch drain chicken broth, and place chicken breasts in pan. Cover pan and heat chicken for 5 minutes, flipping chicken once (if you don’t have a cover for the pan, heating will take a little longer. Add an extra 3 minutes, flipping chicken an additional 1-2 times).
Uncover pan, add marinara sauce to the pan and re-cover. Sauce will come to a simmer. Heat 2-3 minutes, stirring sauce periodically, until chicken is golden brown outside and warm throughout.
Cover sauce with mozzarella cheese and place cover on pan to let steam melt the cheese. Serve and enjoy! Caution: contents will be hot.
Microwave
Cut open chicken pouch, thoroughly drain chicken broth, and place chicken breasts in a microwave-safe container.
Cover chicken with marinara sauce, cover the container, and heat on high for 4 minutes or until chicken is warm throughout (both pouches = 8 minutes).
Remove cover, top dish with mozzarella cheese, replace cover and heat 1½ minutes or until cheese is melted to preference. Serve and enjoy! Caution: contents will be hot.
Air Fryer
Cut open chicken pouch, thoroughly drain chicken broth, and place chicken breasts in tray of air fryer.
Set temperature to 350°F and heat chicken for approximately 6 minutes or until warm throughout.
Pause cooking and open tray. Top each breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. (note: You do not need to use all sauce and cheese in air fryer. Remaining sauce and cheese can be used to sauce pasta or make a sandwich).
Close tray and resume cooking for additional 2 minutes or until cheese has melted. Serve and enjoy! Caution: contents will be hot.
